Dr. Yaron Shvets
We are excited to announce that Dr. Yaron Shvets has taken over ownership of the esteemed dental practice formerly known as Anne Lyon DDS & Associates. With this transition, the practice has been rebranded as Craft of Dentistry. While there have been changes in ownership, rest assured that the unwavering commitment to exceptional patient care and the dedicated team remain unchanged.
Dr. Yaron Shvets is a highly accomplished dentist who obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. Prior to that, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Brooklyn College in New York. During his doctoral studies, Dr. Shvets excelled in the field of Aesthetics and was accepted into the prestigious honors program at New York University.
To further enhance his expertise, Dr. Shvets completed his General Practice Residency at Coney Island Hospital in New York City. He is an esteemed member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, American Academy of Clear Aligners, Texas Dental Association, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, Central Texas Academy of General Dentistry, and the Capital Area Dental Society.
Dr. Shvets is a life-long learner. He is committed to exceptional oral care through continually learning about the latest advancements and best practices in dentistry to deliver the highest quality care to his patients. According to him, the professional learning and growth process never stops. He has dedicated hundreds of hours to enhance his knowledge and skills in dentistry through continuing education coursework enabling him to deliver an exceptional level of care to his patients. He became one of the first from his class to be awarded the prestigious Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), which only 6% of general dentists in the United States attain.
With a comprehensive skill set, Dr. Shvets performs a wide range of dental procedures while prioritizing individualized care for each patient. He strongly believes in the power of patient education and actively engages with his patients to improve their oral health outcomes and empower them to make informed decisions. Dr. Shvets goes above and beyond to ensure his patients’ comfort, and his commitment to staying abreast of the latest advancements in dentistry enables him to deliver the highest quality of care. Dr. Shvets takes great pride in impacting his patients’ lives through his dentistry. He treats dentistry as an intricate craft and is passionate about improving the lives of his patients through compassionate and high quality dental care. Dr.
Shvets prioritizes his patients’ comfort, strives to alleviate their anxiety and provides a judgment-free zone so that he can take the time to craft an individualized treatment plan that is unique to each patient. He keeps the best interests of his patients at the forefront of every decision by taking a conservative and ethical approach to treatment.
Born in Central Asia and having lived in Israel and New York City, Dr. Shvets relocated to Austin, drawn to its welcoming atmosphere and pleasant climate. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys exploring Austin with his wife and three children, staying active through running, honing his handyman skills, and engaging in friendly chess matches with his son. Dr. Shvets finds fulfillment in both his professional and personal pursuits, making a positive impact on the lives of his patients and enjoying quality time with his loved ones.
Dr. Anne Lyon
With over three decades of experience in cosmetic and family dentistry, Dr. Lyon has been proudly serving the south Austin community since 1991. Dr. Lyon’s passion for dentistry is evident in her continuous pursuit of knowledge and expertise. She stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in cosmetic and laser dentistry through ongoing education and evening study clubs. By embracing innovative techniques, such as advanced Invisalign and implant dentistry, Dr. Lyon ensures that her patients receive the highest standard of care.
As a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and a member of prestigious organizations like the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Lyon is committed to professional excellence. She also actively participates in the Texas Dental Association, serving on committees and organizing state meetings to promote dental education and advocacy.
Dr. Lyon’s dedication extends beyond her practice. She actively contributes to the community through organizations like the Capital Area Dental Foundation, supporting the HAMM project, which provides dental services to local musicians. Additionally, she volunteers her time and expertise with Christina’s Smile, Texas Mission of Mercy, Manos de Cristo, and other charitable initiatives aimed at helping those in need.
In her personal life, Dr. Lyon cherishes spending time with her two sons. They enjoy family adventures, whether it’s a beach getaway, hitting the slopes, or experiencing the vibrant music and theater scene in downtown Austin. Dr. Lyon also finds solace in traveling, reading, and maintaining an active lifestyle through regular workouts.
Dr. Cohl Brazil
Dr. Brazil was raised in Katy, Texas. Growing up, he was actively involved in organized sports, and had a passion for the outdoors. Dr. Brazil attended Texas State University and was accepted into the Dental Early Admissions Program while earning his bachelor’s degree in biology. Following his studies at Texas State, Dr. Brazil attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS). Upon completion of dental school, he completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. During his residency, he received extensive training in comprehensive dentistry, and focused his efforts on learning conscious sedation techniques and surgical procedures such as removal of wisdom teeth and implant placement. In addition to his residency training, Dr. Brazil has completed the Preceptorship in Dental Implantology at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. In his spare time, Dr. Brazil enjoys playing the guitar, paddling, running, biking, backpacking, and spending time in the outdoors.
